Motherhood in the Garden

I met and shot Emma and her family: Michael, and their two boys in 2023, when their youngest was just a few weeks shy of 2 months old. Now he’s almost 2! They were my first family session and I’m so glad and appreciative it was them. The patience and understanding we had for each other was instantaneous.
May is perfect in the gardens of North Carolina, with hydrangeas blooming, birds chirping and the hue of green brightening your mood. Like any 2 year old—bustling with energy, we let the oldest run around to his heart’s content, occasionally earning the opportunity to snap a quick picture before he was off again!
My heart is warmed that this lovely family trusts and values my work and our connection enough to shoot with me again. It has been a joy to tell their story and be apart of the beautiful life they’re building!
