Now this is the fun part! I love to be collaborative during this process; I’ll ask you questions, you ask me. I often like to see pictures of your outfits, how we can coordinate well and anything else that needs to be included. This should be enjoyable and stress free

The process of developing and scanning film is an art in itself that takes time and care. I’m just as eager as you are to see the magic we created! The day after (or, If I’m lucky, the day of) our session, I’ll drop your film off to my trusted lab. From there, I scan the negatives in-house. It takes a bit longer but it gives me the freedom to play to my heart’s content and produce the quality you deserve. It’s absolutely worth the wait!

Whimsical, nostalgic + rooted in nature
At heart, I’m a hushed observer with a playful, childlike spirit. I notice things others might pass by; the way light and shadow dance together, a shy smile, a sliver of movement. I don’t mind sitting on a park bench for hours, watching the world move around me, each moment its own interesting story to tell.
My work is intuitive and led by feeling rather than perfection. We all have our quirks and our way of being, and I love being the person you feel comfortable showing that to.
I’m deeply grounded in the natural world. I pause in the sun’s warmth and call on inspiration from the moon. I follow my curiosity and chase color. I dance wildly, walk barefoot when I can, read and talk to plants. All of this finds its way into my photographs, and it’s where my love for the world shows most clearly.

Shooting with film is slow in the best way. It’s quiet, but mostly in an internal sense. Much of my process happens inward, observing, anticipating, feeling when a moment is about to unfold. The moment I raise my camera, time pauses— the world becomes still and something real is made. You may not even hear the shutter as I take another frame filled with laughter, tears, or the way someone holds you close. Film encourages living in the moment; there's no instant gratification of seeing the shot, no electronic distractions — just the simple mechanics of a vintage camera. Film asks everyone involved to be more in tune with each other and me.
You’ll see me chasing light, because film loves light. You’ll see me pause and wait, because each roll holds only so many frames. I choose carefully, but I also leave room for surprise. Some of the most beautiful photographs are the ones I never planned for at all.
Your memories are being captured on a camera that’s been in this world for more than fifty years, carrying stories long before yours and holding space for them now. Film is enthralling, imperfect, and a little unpredictable, but that’s where the magic lives. These images are meant to be felt and held onto, and film does just that.

My turnaround time is typically up to 3 months for weddings and up to 2 weeks for portraits, branding, maternity, family and couples! The day after our session (excluding Sundays), I will drop off the film to my trusted lab, which usually takes 1-2 days to process. I then scan the negatives in-house to a digital file. It gives me the freedom to experiment to my heart's content and produce the quality you deserve. I find it completely worth it!
